Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes what Arlo Trade, LLC ("Arlo," "we") collects from you, what we do with it, and the rights you have over it. We try to keep it short and concrete; if anything is unclear, email privacy@arlo.trade.
1. What we collect
- Account data: your email, display name, password hash, account status, subscription plan, and a sign-in audit trail.
- Trading data you bring in: activity from brokerages you connect, broker exports you upload, and trades you enter, including transactions, positions, prices, dates, instruments, and notes. You own this data.
- Billing data: your plan, payment status and invoices. Card details are collected and held by Stripe; we never see your card number.
- Operational data: server logs and error reports that help us keep the Service running.
We never collect your brokerage password. When you connect a brokerage, you sign in on your broker's own page through SnapTrade, and the connection can only read your account activity.
2. How we use it
- to provide the Service: store your trades, work out profit and loss, show positions and strategies;
- to authenticate you and protect your account;
- to bill you for a paid plan;
- to send you emails about your account (confirmation, password reset, billing, import summaries);
- to investigate and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents;
- to improve the Service through aggregated, de-identified analytics.
3. How we share it
We do not sell your data. We do not share your trading data with third parties for their independent use. We do share data with:
- Service providers who run parts of Arlo for us: hosting, email delivery, Stripe for payments, and SnapTrade for brokerage connections. They handle data only as needed to provide their service to us.
- People you share an account with. If you give another Arlo user access to one of your accounts, they see what you shared. You can take it back at any time.
- Law enforcement or government bodies when legally required, with appropriate scrutiny and, where lawful, notice to you.
4. Storage and security
Your data is stored on servers in the United States. Passwords are hashed, never stored as text. Communication between your browser and Arlo is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure; we will notify you of a breach without undue delay where the law requires.
5. Your rights
- Access: see your data in the Service.
- Correct: update your profile and your trades.
- Delete: delete your account and trading data from your profile. Some records may be kept for legal or fraud-prevention reasons; we'll tell you what and why.
- Object or restrict: ask us to stop or limit certain processing.
- Withdraw consent: for anything based on your consent, without affecting what came before.
Email privacy@arlo.trade to exercise any of these. We'll respond within 30 days.
6. Retention
We keep your account and trading data for as long as your account is active. After you delete your account we keep only what the law or fraud prevention requires. Audit logs are kept for 12 months by default.
7. Cookies and tracking
The Arlo app uses cookies and browser storage only to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and prevent abuse. This website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without tracking you across other sites. We do not use advertising cookies.
8. Children's privacy
Arlo is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we'll delete it and close the account.
9. International users
If you use Arlo from outside the United States, your data is transferred to and processed in the US.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Service changes. Material changes will be announced in the app and by email at least 30 days before they take effect, and the date at the top will change.
